How we put a look together, what we’re checking in samples, and what you can expect from Season One.
OUR POINT OF VIEW
Dress for the plan.
Pool party to evening plans
In Pool Rules, a short patterned swim silhouette sits beside an open ivory layer and a simple black tote. Keep one print in focus; let the other pieces add texture. The mood is the reference, while fit and construction still need to be proven.
Wear a sheer layer over an opaque tank when you want texture with more coverage. Wear the shirt open to change the proportions. Our No Straight Answers and After Hours concepts explore both; we won’t call a final garment opaque or breathable until its material and sample support that description.
Brunch Later brings cream and tobacco tones together through relaxed trousers, polos and open knits. Keep the shape easy and let the difference between the textures do the work.
The first Play Both Ways Swim brief covers Small, Medium and Large. We’ll compare the actual waist, rise, inseam and leg opening with the intended short silhouette, then assess the liner, movement, wet opacity and print. An available supplier size is not the same as an approved OUT & ABOUT fit.
How should I choose a size?
Wait for the approved garment measurements and measuring instructions before choosing. Concept images and a model’s appearance cannot establish your size. When available, compare the published measurements with a similar garment you like, using the same measuring method.
What must the tote sample prove?
The Poolside Problem Tote should hold the original board’s proportions and clear stacked wordmark. We’ll check the fabric body, handles, seams, print placement and white coverage, then record care results. Final composition and care information will belong to the approved product, not the concept image.
These are planned checks, not completed test results. No physical sample has been approved.
OUT & ABOUT is a menswear brand in development for queer lives in motion. Season One brings six original collection concepts together across nightlife, resort dressing and everyday tailoring. The site presents the creative direction while garments, suppliers and release details are being verified.
Can I buy the clothes now?
Not yet. The collection images and prices are illustrative, and the preview bag saves favorites rather than placing an order. Follow the collections you want to hear about; there is no confirmed release date.
Are the campaign images photographs of finished garments?
No. The original boards and campaign imagery visualize the collection concepts. They do not prove a fabric, fit, finish or stock level. Approved product photography and verified details will be identified when finished garments are ready.
What do Curated, Editions, Originals and Looks mean?
Curated is our proposed edit of independent makers, with maker credit. Editions describes collaborations by agreement. Originals begins with our own designs. Looks brings pieces together as outfits. These describe the brand’s approach, not existing supplier contracts.
Tell us the piece or drop, the occasion you’d wear it for, and the practical detail that matters: length, coverage, pocket use or preferred fit. We’ll use that feedback alongside sample measurements, not as a substitute for them.
